In 2008, we built a pavilion in some of the roughest country in the mountains,
directly on the Big Laurel River. There, we engineered and built our first
two-sided fireplace. This is what has encouraged us to proceed into these
endeavors. There's nothing quite like cooking and enjoying a fire in an
outdoors setting. Having a structure (kitchen) is nice to implement into the
design... especially for some of the perks such as running water, gas, etc.
